The Role:

Blackpool and The Fylde College (B&FC) is currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Lecturer in Foundation Learning to join our growing team at the Gateway Campus. Due to growth, we require an additional 0.5 FTE Lecturer to deliver programmes from Entry 2 to Level 1. The ideal candidate will have a specialism in a vocational subject such as Performing Arts, Sport, or Digital.

Your Responsibilities Will Include: As a Lecturer in Foundation Learning, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality teaching and support to our students. Key responsibilities include:

-       Delivering and managing inclusive learning, teaching, and assessment.

-       Assisting with curriculum design, development, and quality improvements to enhance the student experience.

-       Monitoring student recruitment, retention, achievement, and progression while providing targeted support.

-       Supporting the use of digital and face-to-face teaching tools and systems to drive student success.

-       Contributing to the academic community through research, scholarship, and professional practice.

 

Our Foundation Learning programmes equip students with essential skills and knowledge from Entry 2 to Level 1. We focus on providing an inclusive learning environment that fosters student growth in vocational areas, preparing them for progression into further education or employment.
