Head of Student Experience
The Role:
Blackpool and The Fylde College (B&FC) is looking for an ambitious and student-centred leader to take forward our vision for an outstanding student experience. This is a unique opportunity to influence every stage of the student journey at one of the UK’s most respected Further and Higher Education colleges. The post is full-time and based across our campuses on the Fylde Coast.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Driving the Student Experience Strategy: Lead the implementation of B&FC’s Student Experience Strategy in alignment with the 2025–2030 Strategic Plan, ensuring it delivers measurable improvements in engagement, retention, and progression across all areas of the student journey.
- Championing the Student Voice: Develop and embed effective mechanisms for capturing student feedback and insights, ensuring the student voice influences institutional decision-making and continuous improvement.
- Enhancing Student Engagement & Belonging: Oversee the delivery of enrichment activities, campaigns, events, and co-curricular initiatives that foster community, belonging, and personal development, working collaboratively with internal teams and the Students’ Union.
- Leading Student-Facing Services: Provide strategic leadership for key student support services, including Learning Resource Centres and careers education, ensuring provision is high quality, inclusive, and aligned with regulatory and quality benchmarks.
- Using Insight to Drive Improvement: Harness data and analytics to monitor student satisfaction, behaviour, and engagement - translating insights into targeted initiatives and contributing to internal performance reviews, quality assurance, and access and participation planning.
